Prepare injections as required and according to treatment plans designed by the physician c. Review medication refills with patient via telephone. Ensure that the patient is periodically assessed in the office by the physician to determine therapeutic effect and patient compliance. Adjust patient medications as needed d. Assist with minor medical/surgical procedures in the practice setting e. Demonstrate the ability to recognize abnormal lab results. Required to review lab reports with patients in the absence of the provider. f. Coordinate further testing and evaluation with the physician g. Identify the need for patient education. Advise patients on their treatment plan; to include Diabetes and other chronic diseases h. Maintain treatment records/files for each patient Complete patient encounter form at the conclusion of each service performed i.
