Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p, weekend/holiday rotation as required Minimum Qualifications Graduate from an accredited or state approved school of practical nursing Current licensure in the state of practice Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting. Home healthcare experience preferred. Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with clients and their families as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates and supervisors. Must have passed National Association Practical Nurse Exam (NAPNES) or equivalent medication exam before administering medications. Must have current Driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work site. Job Summary Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary. Per Diem employes must be available to work 3 days in every 28 days block including 1 weekend shift. Job Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners Work Experience One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or One (1) year of Urgent Care setting experience required .
