Ensure that the Nursing Service Procedures Manual reflects the day-to-day nursing care procedures used by the Facility. Make written and oral reports or recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services, as necessary or required, concerning the operation of the Nursing Services Department. Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care. Ensure that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptions. Participate in the maintenance and implementation of the Facility’s quality assurance program for the Nursing Services Department. Participate in Facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services. Participate in developing, implementing, and periodically updating the resident’s written discharge plan. Assist the resident and Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan. Monitor the Facility’s QI, QM, and survey reports and provide the Director of Nursing Services with recommendations that will be helpful in eliminating problem areas. Assist the Director of Nursing Services in obtaining staffing information that must be posted on a daily basis. Participate in the development, maintenance, implementation, and updating of the written policies and procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies Job Requirements of Registered Nurse: Registered Nurse current state license in Florida One (1) year related nursing management experience preferred Must have a current/active CPR certification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Support residents with eating, hydration, and nutritional needs. Help residents maintain personal hygiene and overall comfort. Health Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing team. Assist with medication reminders and basic healthcare tasks under the supervision of licensed staff. Resident Engagement: Foster meaningful relationships with residents through companionship and supportive care. Encourage participation in activities and programs to promote social interaction and mental well-being. Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents. Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures in compliance with healthcare regulations. Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist with emergency care when needed. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, senior living, or long-term care setting preferred. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of nursing care procedures and safety practices.
