Position Summary We are seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our clinical team and support the medical needs of adult clients in residential substance use treatment. We are hiring for multiple full-time and part-time opportunities across evening and overnight shifts. The LPN plays a key role in client care through nursing assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with the broader clinical team. New graduates are encouraged to apply—we're happy to provide the training and support needed for success. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial nursing assessments for new admissions. Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and side effects. Deliver care in alignment with detoxification protocols. Complete COWS and CIWA assessments in accordance with established protocols. Provide education to clients regarding medications and health conditions. Support medical providers during assessments and medication management appointments. Maintain accurate documentation while upholding strict confidentiality. Ensure medical equipment is functioning properly and safely. Support overall facility operations with professionalism and compassion. Perform other nursing-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Licensure: Active, unencumbered LPN license in the state of Massachusetts. Certifications: Current CPR/BLS, AED, and First Aid certification required. Experience: Previous nursing experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply. Training will be provided. This unit also provides a high level of care to our respiratory, diabetic, and endocrine disorder patients, as well as those patients with neurological, renal, vascular, infectious disease, and other medical conditions. Our 4 East Staff members also support dialysis patients with their pre and post-dialysis care. These patients are admitted as inpatients, outpatients, or observation patients and are predominantly adults, though some older pediatric patients may be admitted to the unit based on their care needs. About the Job: Clinical Assistants (LNAs) are a combination of Health Unit Coordinators and Licensed Nursing Assistants. As a member of the Patient Care Services team, Clinical Assistants support in patient care and coordinate administrative functions of assigned patient care areas and facilitate patient flow throughout the department. Job Summary: The C.N.A. acts as a vital member of the patient care delivery team, performing delegated nursing duties, environmental service duties and food service duties to enhance the satisfaction level of the hospitalized patient. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, shampooing, shaving, brushing teeth, etc. Obtains heights and weights of assigned patients per care plan. Assists patients with ambulation using appropriate technique (i.e. gait belt). Assists patients with turning in bed and transferring from bed to stretcher or chair using appropriate technique (i.e. transfer mattress). Provides incontinent care to patients. Assists patients with eating and drinking per care plan. Maintains and documents fluid intake, output measurements and vital signs on patients per care plan. Assists with obtaining late trays as needed. Maintains infection control precautions per Infection Control Policy. Cleans the food refrigerators on a weekly basis. Maintains unit food inventory on a daily basis. Prepares room for the next patient by cleaning and making bed.
