PR DIEM WEEKENDS ONLY $40 HOURLY PLUS WEEKEND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL OVERVIEW: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, supervises the nursing personnel and the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during an assigned tour of duty. Such supervision must be in accordance with accepted professional standards and current federal, state and local regulations to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Monitor the daily delivery of nursing care and nursing staff performance as they deliver nursing care to the patients/residents in accordance with established policies and procedures · Plan and conduct shift staff meetings on a regular basis to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas and to assist in the improvement of services · Identify problems or potential problems in the delivery of nursing care to residents and implement corrective action immediately · Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing as necessary · Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the resident's total regimen of care · Begin investigation of all accidents, including staff interviews, data gathering and report writing · Interpret the nursing department's policies and procedures to personnel, resident, visitors and government agencies as required · Ensure staff always maintain confidentiality of resident information · Develop work assignments and/or assist in completing and performing such tasks · Delegate to each Charge Nurse the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary to perform his/her assigned duties · Make daily rounds of assigned units at a minimum at the beginning and end of the shift, depending upon the activity of the units · Follow-up on complaints and grievances filed by resident, families or staff. Your Role: As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) , you provide hands-on nursing care in accordance with each resident’s individualized care plan. You support comprehensive health and psychosocial needs, monitor changes in condition, coordinate services, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to promote optimal resident outcomes in a community setting. Position Highlights: Status: PRN Schedule: 7am-3pm And 3pm-11pm Location: 5999 N. University Drive, Parkland, FL 33067 Rate of Pay: $28 an hour What You’ll Do: Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans, policies, and procedures. Conduct ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and psychosocial status and monitor for changes in condition. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document appropriately. Coordinate and communicate resident care needs with physicians, families, pharmacies, and other care providers. Support health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives within the community. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Assist with care planning, service plan updates, and resident evaluations as required. Collaborate with caregivers, wellness team members, and leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery. Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and emergencies using sound clinical judgment. Support training and guidance for care staff as appropriate. Ensure the community adheres to applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to resident care and services. Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and compliance activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or a Professional Registered Nurse as per state regulations Minimum of two (2) years of Licensed Nurse experience required. Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a skilled nursing environment preferred. Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate appropriately. Demonstrated commitment to seniors and person-centered care. Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible schedules as required by the community. Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and basic computer applications. Ability to respond to medical emergencies. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease. Ability to lift or assist residents as required by care plans.
