Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse-GI-Med-Surge-Stepdown-10E-Mount Sinai Hospital-FT/Days The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Responsibilities Patient Care Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. Implements process improvement strategies based on institutional, evidence-based ensure and procedures. Engages in formal and informal peer and institutional review processes. Contributes to quality and safety practices and required compliance measures. Implements principles of high reliability to identify and avoid high risk behaviors to provide a safe environment for patients. Escalates potential safety hazards or gaps from best practice following institutional chain of command protocol. Description The Transplant Coordinator is a Registered Professional Nurse with specific knowledge and skills who participates in the coordination of clinical programs and services for designated patient populations within the Transplantation Institute. Responsibilities Responsible For Development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of clinical programs and services for designated patient populations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Practice 1. Coordinates the multidisciplinary screening and evaluation of patients seen in the transplant practice at MSH and approved satellites. The multidisciplinary team includes the transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, social work, nutrition, pharmacy and finance. Coordinators work with their assistants to facilitate other medical specialty visits as needed. 2. Ensures all necessary lab tests are performed on potential transplant candidates and that results are updated as required (including bloodwork sent to Rogosin for tissue typing). 3. Participates in making recommendations regarding placing as patient on the transplant waiting list. Educates patients on the benefits of living donation (when applicable). 4. Communicates with all active transplant candidates regarding waiting list status on an ongoing basis. Ensures all medical clearances are updated regularly. 5. On call responsibilities include facilitating all organ offers from UNOScommunicating with surgeons, fellows and patients to ensure timeliness of all organ offers. Coordinators also answer patient calls after hours, on holidays and weekends. 6. Follows patients during their hospitalization and coordinates with transplant team to coordinate consulting services as needed. Coordinates outpatient follow up visits with the outpatient transplant team. 7. Educates patients and family regarding all transplant medications, lifestyle changes, as well as outpatient follow-up protocols. 8. Assesses continued recovery of patient through compliance with outpatient visits, scheduling of blood tests, regular review of labs, adjusts immunosuppressive medication as needed during regular lab review. Description The Clinical Program Manager provides clinical support and administrative direction within the Tisch Cancer Center’s Clinical Trials Office (TCC CCTO). In collaboration with the Associate Director for Research, clinical trials investigators, and TCC CCTO Administrative Directors; this candidate is responsible for the implementation and conduct of clinical trials with investigational anti-cancer agents in the Cancer Institute. The Candidate must have expert knowledge of cancer as a disease process, cancer treatment modalities, and the process of conducting clinical research. Organization Overview The School of American Ballet (SAB), founded by George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein and located at Lincoln Center, is the preeminent ballet school in the United States. SAB’s mission is to train professional dancers for careers in classical ballet while providing the resources necessary for a diverse student body to train at the highest level. Each year, 20–25 students go on to dance with New York City Ballet—SAB’s official but independent company—as well as other major ballet companies worldwide. Annually, SAB serves more than 1,000 students and has a far-reaching impact on the art form. During the Winter Term (September–June), approximately 60 Advanced Division students reside on site in the Meredith Willson Residence Hall, a facility shared with The Juilliard School. During SAB’s five-week Summer Course (June–July), approximately 200 middle and high school students reside on campus. Department Overview The Department of Student Life supports the emotional, social, physical, cultural, intellectual, and academic well-being of SAB students. Position Summary The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner provides on-site pediatric and adolescent healthcare support to SAB students enrolled in the Winter Term Intermediate and Advanced Divisions (approximately 125 students) and the Summer Course (approximately 220 students). This role focuses on medical oversight, preventive care coordination, prescription management, health record tracking, and collaboration with Student Life, Residence Life, and Wellness staff. The Nurse Practitioner serves as a trusted, student-centered healthcare presence and supports SAB’s commitment to student safety, wellness, and holistic development. This is a part-time, non-exempt role, reporting to the Director of Student Life for Day Student and Wellness Integration. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Student Health Oversight Review student medical records, including immunization documentation, exemption requests, allergies, and medical histories. Provide basic clinical assessments and triage, referring students to the onsite providers or external providers as appropriate. Coordinate ongoing medical care with Residence Hall staff and Student Life leadership. Maintain warm, developmentally appropriate bedside manner, with sensitivity to the needs of adolescents in a high-performance training environment. Provide on-site clinical assessments and support during Winter Term and Summer Course move-in periods (in conjunction with additional nursing support staff), including reviewing medical forms and finalizing care plans prior to parent handoff to residential staff. Prescription & Medication Management Oversee prescription medication management, including storage, dosage verification, administration protocols, refills, and compliance with school policies. Coordinate with parents/guardians regarding prescriptions, updates, and follow-up care. Ensure accurate documentation of medication administration and related communications. Health Records, Compliance & Tracking Systems Develop and maintain a comprehensive tracking and record-keeping system within the school database to monitor immunization compliance and upcoming vaccine requirements, track vaccine exemption status, and document allergies and relevant medical alerts. Ensure medical documentation meets school, public health, and regulatory requirements. Support medical readiness and perform review of medical forms for approximately 125 Winter Term Intermediate and Advanced Division students, 525 Winter Term Children’s Division and Preparatory Division students (in conjunction with additional nursing support staff), and 220 Summer Course students. Care Coordination & Communication Provide patient notes and summaries to support onsite physician visits. Engage in proactive parent/guardian communication, including follow-up related to student health concerns, compliance issues, or care plans. Collaborate closely with the Student Life team, Residence Life staff, and Wellness staff to ensure continuity of care. Participate in multidisciplinary Wellness Team meetings. Inventory & Operations Manage medical supply inventory, including ordering, tracking usage, and working within an established budget. Maintain organized, compliant medical storage spaces. Health Education & Programming Facilitate or support adolescent health education programming, which may include drug and alcohol awareness, sexual health education, and cold and flu prevention. Contribute to a culture of preventive care and wellness education within the school community. Qualifications Required Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New York State. Pediatric specialty experience. Demonstrated experience working with adolescents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in medical documentation and compliance tracking. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including comfort engaging with parents/guardians. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary student support team. Preferred Sports Medicine specialty or experience working with student-athletes or dancers. Familiarity with residential school, conservatory, or boarding program environments. Experience with electronic medical record systems and database tracking. Work Environment & Expectations On-site role with a consistent, part-time schedule during academic and summer programming. Provides first aid to students in need of immediate care, with referral to registered nurse, private physician or outside emergency services as necessary. Monitors required staff health records and provides tests in accordance with regulatory agency requirements. Keeps up to date and accurate records of examinations, immunizations, illnesses, accidents and other pertinent data of students via progress notes. Administers medications as prescribed. Supervises secured storage of medications. Refers all consults and diagnostic reports to registered nurse for review. Transports students to appointments as necessary. Maintains Nursing Office. Orders supplies and equipment as required. Visits students at home as requested by Director or designee. Keeps abreast of changes in Nursing Services field.
