This full-time role is dedicated to providing one-on-one nursing care for a 7th-grade student with complex medical needs during the school year. The assignment is set to follow the traditional academic calendar, running approximately from early September through early June, with consistent weekly hours. Key Qualifications: Current Minnesota LPN license in good standing Active CPR and AED certification At least 2 years of hands-on experience with pediatric care, preferably in school, home health, or similar environments Competency in tracheostomy management and suctioning Ability to ride the school bus to ensure student safety during transport Compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with students who have complex medical or developmental needs Primary Responsibilities: Deliver dedicated 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day per the individualized healthcare plan Administer trach care and suctioning as required Accurately document daily care, interventions, and observations Collaborate with the Health Services team, school staff, and the student’s family to ensure comprehensive support Participate in safe transportation to and from school alongside the student Success in this role will require empathy, clinical expertise, and proactive communication skills.
