This skilled team has experience working with many types of impairments resulting from spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, amputations, arthritis, stroke, fractures, multiple trauma, neuromuscular disease and other orthopedic/neurologic diagnoses. Our nursing staff is a combination of RNΓÇÖs, C.N.AΓÇÖs and Unit Secretaries. We work collaboratively with the Rehab Physiatrist, patients and their support systems, therapy staff, social workers, discharge planners, chaplains and dietitians. Our average daily census is approximately 13 patients and our average length of stay for our patients is approximately 13 days. We offer intensive Rehabilitation nursing 7 days per week 24 hours per day and the emphasis is maximizing the patientΓÇÖs health and independence. This position is responsible for providing assessments of patient/family/significant other health problems and resources; taking a leadership role in the development, implementation, and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the rehab nursing team; and providing direct nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations.
