Description Primary Duties and Responsibilities In this position, you will be responsible for all nursing and clinical services in the Ambulatory & Community Practice. Your duties include, but are not limited to: direct nursing care, clinic administration, patient flow coordination and supervision of clinic nursing staff interaction with faculty, residents, patients, and staff to maximize patient care and ensure patient safety coordination and assignment of tasks and duties of all nursing and supplemental staff based on established protocols, policies and procedures supervision of staff; conducting the evaluation process, maintaining yearly staff competencies, providing all necessary training for new and existing staff and reviewing staff timesheets for accuracy based on the daily schedule ensuring that all applicable policies and standards are maintained at all times planning for and adjusting staffing on a daily basis to maintain efficient and adequate operations maintenance and upkeep of the practice managing the Quality Assurance process Pay Rate: $38.65 - $80.70 hourly

Interpret the facility’s policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc., as necessary. Monitor that all employees, residents, visitors, and the general public follow the facility’s established policies and procedures. Perform treatments-administer medications, and/or implement other nursing interventions as indicated by the resident care plan or as ordered by the physician. Notify the doctor as timely as needed. Provide nursing care in accordance with acceptable infection control standards. Follow safety policies while performing nursing care. Initiate emergency measures according to facility policies and nursing practices. Maintain all documentation as required by state regulations and facility policy. Maintain inventory of supplies and/or medications to meet the needs of the resident. Participate in assigned meetings and in-services and quality assurance meetings. Meet unit work goals through assignment of nursing assistants and resident care needs. Evaluate quality and quantity of resident care service by nursing assistants. Present professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech. Adhere to facility guidelines for resolving consumer concerns. Monitor that consumer/resident rights and privacy are protected. Demonstrates leadership competencies. Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests. Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident’s best interest. Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations. Ability to handle multiple priorities. Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding. Reviews staff schedule ensures appropriate staffing coverage in the absence of the Coordinator; contacts alternative team members as needed to fill staffing vacancy. Monitors attendance and daily break schedules. Demonstrates working knowledge of the daily variable staffing model and resident service levels. Leads daily Cross Over meetings, encourages active participation and teamwork within the charging shifts. Participates in resident assessments. Receives and verifies delivered medications and faxes of new orders from the pharmacy. Competent in organizational, time management skills Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and learn concept. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Must be Medication Management Certified and hold an active LVN License in the state of CA. Must possess ability to perform Medication Administration and minor wound care as needed. Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of at least one (1) year experience working with seniors in assisted living /RCFE or senior living community.
