About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Part Time, Weekend Only, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a vital member of our inpatient psychiatric consult service, you’ll have the opportunity to provide high-quality care to individuals with a range of psychiatric conditions, helping them stabilize, heal, and build the foundation for long-term recovery. What You’ll Do: Psychiatric consultations on Medical Floors and Emergency Departments Participate in call and weekend rotations to support patient needs Will have the support of a collaborating psychiatrist About Our Program: Becker's Hospital Review recognized Virtua Health as one of 60 hospitals or health systems with exceptional psychiatry and behavioral health programs . The publication noted our "robust spectrum of behavioral health services across South Jersey, anchored by 70 inpatient beds and supported by a team of more than 60 certified behavioral health professionals." In addition to inpatient psychiatric care, our program also provides: Outpatient mental health treatment with psychiatrists, advanced nurse practitioners, and licensed clinical social workers who are embedded within 28 primary care offices CASTLE pediatric behavioral health program, including outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization, and a therapeutic nursery for kids ages 3 to 4 Advanced interventional psychiatry providing treatments such as electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation. Substance use disorder treatment through our Medication for Addiction Treatment program Perinatal mood and anxiety disorder program Compensation: The starting salary for this position is: $53,000.00 (annually). The actual compensation package could vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, the applicant’s experience, internal equity, and alignment with market data. How you make a difference The Charge Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing the total health care delivery system in their assigned nursing unit, including the collection and evaluation of health status data, nursing diagnosis, goal setting, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. They provide direct supervision of patient teaching and ensure that ancillary personnel only perform services for which they are qualified. The Charge RN is accountable for the overall quality of patient care in their assigned unit. Key Responsibilities Supervising the total health care delivery system in their assigned unit, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure, and coordinating patient care with other departments. Monitoring nursing service, maintain accurate records, and identify potential problems, proposing corrective actions as needed. Assisting with staff orientation, training, and evaluations, and coordinate staffing levels to meet contractual requirements. Ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of the unit and maintain appropriate levels of medical equipment and supplies. Maintaining a professional atmosphere and attend monthly staff meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator. Additional Details 12- hour Night shift, 7p-7:30am, & every other weekend. Pay Range (based on yrs of experience): $45.00-$59.00/hour. American Heart Association BLS Certification Required. NJ or MultiState RN License is required. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one-year clinical experience. Licenses/Certifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment. Current CPR Certification.
