Description Position Summary: Provides direct and individual nursing care to assigned residents based on nursing standards and under the supervision of the Director of Resident Care (DRC). Also maintains compliance with all state and federal regulations and the standards of HRA. Description Kindred Hospital The Palm Beaches and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is a 68-bed specialty hospital. With 57 long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) beds, we offer the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 11-bed ARU is designed for people who have experienced the debilitating effects of an acute injury, impairment, or illness and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. Job Summary Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. Communicates changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate. Participates in discharge planning process. Assesses and evaluates patient’s status by: A. Writing and initiating plan of care B. Regularly re-evaluating patient and family/caregiver needs C. Monitor care of residents according to treatment plans prescribed by a physician as well as documenting responses to care plans. Nurses also administer medications, ensure cleanliness and security of medicine supply room and adhere to company systems, procedures and processes. LPN or LVN License Required per state regulations.
