Responsibilities Registered Nurse Inpatient Full Time Day Shift 7a-730p Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, Ohio. We serve adult patients 18 years of age and older that need mental health and chemical dependency services. Inpatient offerings include treatment for drug and alcohol withdrawal management and stabilization as well as mental health crisis management. Our outpatient services extend the continuum of care to include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs which allow patients to develop and utilize proper coping mechanisms to help establish a foundation for life. Additionally, we offer a Relapse Prevention Program along with a Medication Administration Program to support patients in maintaining lifelong sobriety. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for assigned patients on the In-patient units. The RN assures the safety and treatment of patients, assuring care follows best practice and acceptable nursing care standards as defined by licensing bodies not limited to State, Federal and accreditation bodies. The RN will assure the following are completed, but is not limited to: admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, restraint and/or seclusion, respond to codes, medication management, group facilitation. Other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities: • To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL). • Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy. • Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities). • Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately. • Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition. • Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions. • Keep resident rooms neat and safe. • Follow proper infection control techniques • Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality. • Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills. • Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications. • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs. • Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community. • Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly. • Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately. Qualifications: • Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.
