Position Summary : Delivers advanced professional and technical nursing care to women of childbearing age and well newborns admitted to this unit after vaginal deliveries or cesarean section for well newborn and postpartum care as well as those admitted antenatally with complication of pregnancy. Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well being of the patient. Nursing care delivered complies with the objective and policies of the hospital utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Prepares equipment and assist physician during treatment and examination of patients. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with the unit specific standards. Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing nursing assistants, thereby providing nursing care to a number of patients. Nurses are required to float within the floating cluster for MBU ( after six months of experience in MBU). May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing supervisor. RN 12 HOUR SHIFT- IMMEDIATE HIRE OVERVIEW: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, supervises the nursing personnel and the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during an assigned tour of duty. The Lakes Home Care is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work with Pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes. Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
