This key management role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated nursing unit, supporting staff development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting exceptional resident-centered care. The Unit Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and Associate Director of Nursing to maintain clinical excellence while fostering a positive, professional, and supportive environment for residents and staff. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing unit operations. Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in and support state and federal surveys, inspections, and audits. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized resident care plans. Conduct annual performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs. Review laboratory results and promptly communicate abnormal findings to providers. Qualifications Current, active, and unencumbered New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or related healthcare setting. At least six (6) months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices. Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
