JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant provides clinical care to patients in urgent care, occupational health, and workers’ compensation settings. About Our Kids Center: The Our Kids Center specializes in providing forensic medical evaluations for children when there are concerns of child sexual abuse. Serving approximately 750 children in Middle Tennessee each year, Our Kids is a recognized leader in forensic medical evaluations and research in this field. The successful candidate will be a PRN employee at Nashville General Hospital and assigned to the Our Kids Center. Key Responsibilities: · Provide after-hours coverage which includes at a minimum 8 shifts per month, some of which are required to be weekends. We have inpatients and outpatients on our unit and are here to provide expertise in nursing assessment and skills such as IV placement, EKG’s, procedural set up and assistance, and investigational medication administration ranging from simple to complex research tasks.
