Key Responsibilities • Observe and support patients according to their treatment plans and assigned observation levels. • Assist patients with attending groups, meals, and daily activities on schedule. • Provide guidance, positive role modeling, and therapeutic communication. • Supervise and secure patient belongings, ensuring safety and compliance with policies. • Facilitate educational and remedial groups in a supportive and clinically appropriate manner. • Perform safety and room checks, contraband searches, and other unit monitoring. • Respond to codes and emergencies calmly and professionally. • Document patient interactions, group participation, and behavioral observations accurately and professionally. • Follow behavior management principles and treatment plan interventions at all times. Minimum Qualifications • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age due to state regulations for adolescent care. • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Current CNA certification in the State of Louisiana required. • BLS (AHA) and CPI certification required (company-provided if needed). • Previous relevant experience preferred. • Available to complete a full week of orientation (Mon-Fri, 7:45 am to 5:00 pm). • Able to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards. Ordering, initiating or modifying pain relief therapy, through the utilization of drugs, regional anesthetic techniques, or other accepted pain relief modalities, including epidural analgesia. Responding to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques. Provide clinical support services outside of the operating room, including but not limited to radiology, endoscopy, emergency department, invasive labs. Upon request or referral for these services, the CRNA will provide consultation and implementation of respiratory and ventilatory care, identify and manage emergency situations, including the initiation or participation in cardiopulmonary resuscitation that involves airway maintenance, ventilation, tracheal intubation, pharmacologic, cardiopulmonary support, management of blood, fluid, electrolyte and acid-base balance. Additional nurse anesthesia responsibilities which are within the expertise of the individual CRNA, as authorized by Medical Staff and stated in the policy and procedure manuals. Non-clinical responsibilities as applicable Clinical and didactic teaching, supervision and evaluation of students; interdepartmental liaison, member of departmental committees; research participant.
