Overview You are the go-to person ensuring that every detail is arranged for surgical services. The Cardiac Stress Test RN provides professional nursing support and service for patients, functioning with a high degree of knowledge, skill and experience in cardiovascular care that is applied to achieve optimal outcomes through critical analysis, problem solving and decision making. The primary role of the Cardiac Stress Test RN is to supervise the administration of cardiac stress testing. Cardiac Stress test includes Exercise ECG Testing, Stress Echocardiography and Stress Radionuclide Cardiac Imaging To be successful in this role, the Cardiac Stress Test RN must: Competent performance of exercise testing requires significant cognitive knowledge and understanding of cardiac disease states. This includes knowledge of but not limited to: cardiovascular and exercise physiology, including hemodynamic response to exercise, appropriate indications, alternate physiological cardiovascular test, prompt recognition and response to complications.
