About this Job: Unit Highlights The Maternal Newborn Center provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period, including a Level II Special Care Nursery, where we provide care to our smallest patients. We utilize approaches such as Spinning Babies® and Bundle Birth to promote safe outcomes and maintain cesarean rates below the national average. Our close-knit team of highly trained nurses—certified in electronic fetal monitoring and STABLE—delivers compassionate, high-quality care in a collaborative environment. The Geriatric Neuropsychiatry Unit is a 14-bed unit providing treatment for patients whose psychiatric symptoms may be the result of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease, neurodegenerative disorders or head traumas. As a Registered Nurse/RN you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team.
