Currently, three gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition in-patient service lines care for 20 - 35 patients per day with a wide range of gastrointestinal, liver, and nutritional disorders including but not limited to: inflammatory bowel disease, short bowel syndrome/ intestinal failure, gastrointestinal motility disorders, liver diseases, liver transplantation, and pancreas and bile duct abnormalities. Management of nutritional support in the form of enteral tube feeding and parenteral nutrition is also provided. The service line also performs a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The physician assistant/ instructor will work alongside faculty colleagues, pediatric gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellows, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers and pediatric residents to care for this pediatric patient population in both the acute care and ICU settings. We seek individuals who are organized and detail-oriented and can work well with staff and faculty from different departments to coordinate outstanding patient care. Job Purpose Provides advanced patient care to patients in a clinical setting in an area of specialization under the direction of a physician.
