The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care. Specific components of the licensed practical/vocational nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality of care, establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills, fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital, and developing clinical expertise per specialty. Required Skills: Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment required. Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required. IV Certification required. Additional Qualifications/Skills : One (1) year of clinical experience in a health care setting preferred. Minimum of 2 years of leadership, charge nurse, supervisor, assistant nurse manager, or equivalent experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, staff development, and operational management preferred. Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Rhode Island. Specialty certification in relevant clinical area required within two years of hire or appointment. Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC, NEA-BC) preferred. BLS credential required; additional certifications or credentials as appropriate for clinical area. Ability to move throughout patient care and administrative areas. Ability to use computer systems for extended periods. Ability to respond effectively during emergency situations. Manual dexterity and mobility required. While performing the major responsibilities of this position, the incumbent must be able to regularly sit, stand or walk, and occasionally reach for prolonged periods of time. Summary This Psychiatric Registered Nurse position is located at Bradley Hospital in Riverside, RI on the Adolescent Inpatient Unit. This day position is full-time at 36 hours per week. Utilizing the nursing process, is responsible for providing for the acute and long-term nursing care needs of patients, families, and generic Program milieu within the context of Program, Department, and Hospital standards. Provides services to children and dolescents.
