Phase one focuses on the care of the cardiac surgical patient with phase 2 centering on the more complex needs of the heart transplant, ultrafiltration or VAD patient. The Multi-Care Technician I (MCT I) is a vital member of the patient care team working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs 12-lead EKG testing as directed by nursing staff or providers. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team. Champion patient safety by observing and reporting vital changes in physical or emotional status, serving as a critical link between the patient and the nursing leadership. Support clinical excellence by assisting with physician-ordered treatments under RN supervision, directly contributing to the patient’s recovery and care plan. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work within a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Work Experience: Previous CNA experience in a hospital setting preferred.
