Certified Nursing Assistant *Sign on Bonus $5K* SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing resident care and support in all activities of daily living and ensures the health, welfare and safety of all residents. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Provide assistance in personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths. Provide assistance in ambulating, turning, and positioning residents. Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information. Provide for resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; answering call lights and requests; reporting observations of the residents to the nursing supervisor. Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws. Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements, including JCAHO standards, when applicable. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; and maintaining licensure. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state of practice. Must be at least 18 years of age. Long term care experience preferred. Current CPR certification required. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Summary: The Caregiver Administrator is a vital member of our team both in the field and in the office. This role is responsible for providing on shift training for new caregivers, meeting new clients for their first shift, in-office clerical/administrative duties and most importantly, last-minute coverage for open shifts so our clients are never left without coverage and care. This position requires an open schedule including nights and weekends, flexibility, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring the continuity and quality of care for our clients. Caregiver Administrators report directly to the Designated Office Manager. Key Responsibilities: -Be available and prepared to cover open shifts on your scheduled days, including nights and weekends. -Do warm hand offs as needed, providing quality care and support to clients and caregivers. -Maintain clear communication with the office staff and management - Maintain in office hours when not covering shifts- normal business hours are 8:15am-4:15pm. -Days of week flexible between 3 different shifts: Su-Th; M-F or Tu-Sa -Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate team member, oversee and respond to emails and faxes -Assist in maintaining accurate records of caregiver schedules, caregiver files, client information, client files and other administrative duties as assigned. -Collaborate with the office manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional client care. -Assist with monitoring schedule for timely clock in and outs - Conduct in-home quality visits Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare or administration is a plus. -1Yr Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred. - C.N.A. certificate required -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with clients, caregivers, and team members. Position Summary The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive health care for assigned patients/community as determined by scope of practice guidelines and specialty. This includes completion of a health assessment, determining diagnosis, planning and prescribing treatment within the parameters of medical staff privileges at the University of Illinois and area of expertise. The APRN participates in the educational experiences of nursing students, medical students, residents and other health care disciplines. The APRN is required to have and maintain a faculty appointment in order to receive clinical privileges to practice at the University of Illinois. This position will primarily focus on outpatient women's health care including obstetrics and gynecology, preconception counseling, early pregnancy education, and menopausal care. The APRN will work closely with physician faculty, residents, nursing staff, and an interdisciplinary healthcare team while contributing to the educational mission of UICOMP. Duties & Responsibilities Manage the care of patients within assigned area and/or area of expertise and within parameters of medical staff privileges. Obtain relevant patient health history. Study and interpret patient tests and records. Perform physical exam and record findings. Perform various diagnostic, preventive and/or therapeutic procedures and/or order special screenings and developmental or laboratory tests to diagnose conditions; interpret results. Prescribe/order appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions and develop a treatment plan. Develop an educational plan for patient/family. Assist with scheduling of patients for upcoming procedures including coordinating with other services (division, departments) and completion of necessary documentation, scheduling forms and clearance. Order appropriate consultation/referral. Determine effectiveness of treatment plan with documentation of treatment provided and patient outcomes. Reassess and modify plan with patient/family and treatment team within the parameters of medical staff privileges. Participates in the educational experiences of nursing students, medical students, residents and other healthcare disciplines. By being involved in case conferences, serving as a preceptor and mentor, assisting with curriculum development and instruction. The Advanced Practice Nurse is required to have and maintain a faculty appointment in order to receive clinical privileges to practice at the University of Illinois Health System.
