Maintains updated competencies, demonstrating ability to speak to leadership and accreditation bodies about process and workflow. Perform front office duties to provide coverage as needed. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Assess resident conditions to implement intervention and develop Care Plans. Accurately record resident observations in PCC and follow through on Care Plans. Assure facility medical records policies and procedures are adhered to. Make regular rounds of residents independently and with a physician; observe and evaluate resident symptoms, progress, and reactions to treatments and medications and implements interventions as necessary. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Adheres to standards of nursing practice of McLaren Flint, which consists of systematic approach to nursing practice by using nursing process. Assesses and documents patient’s status on admission and continuously thereafter including procedural areas Develops written plan of care, including long and short range goals and nursing actions. Inpatient Units: Required: Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan. BLS ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire or transfer for units specified: 2 Central, 4 Central, CCU, ICU, PCU, ER, and 12 South Additional Qualifications Of Specialty Units Cardiovascular Services / CVCU Required: Minimum of two years of experience required in a cardiac critical care unit, step down unit such as 12T, 9T, 4C, PACU, etc OR in a cardiac cath lab OR in an emergency department.
