POSITION DESCRIPTION: The incumbent for the Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (SCNA) position is responsible to provide direct nursing care to residents of the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans' Nursing Home of Florida, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Incumbent will provide assistance with all aspects of resident care as assigned by the shift supervisor, including activities of daily living, ambulation and mobility in facility. Assist in the OR in lieu of or in addition to, a Surgical Resident or Fellow. Additional Information This position with specifically work with Surgical Oncologists in the treatment and management of their patients. . They will also assist in the OR with covering surgical cases with a supervising MD. They may assist the inpatient and outpatient care team under the guidance of the attending. This position will work closely with Residents and Fellows to care for the Surgical oncology patients. Credentials And Qualifications Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program. Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body. Active BLS and ACLS. Experience in surgery/OR, oncology or general internal medicine; experience specific to the specialty preferred. Experience as a First Assist/Bedside Assist in the OR preferred, Robotic Experience a plus, RNFA Certification a plus (if APRN). Salary Range $122,483.40 - $186,763.20 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Must have at least two years of nursing experience. Must have one year experience in home health or hospice. Must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the federal, state, and local laws and regulatory guidelines that govern a home care operation.
