Position Summary Responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing care and practices within the facility to meet the physical, psychosocial, and rehabilitative needs of the residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Administers enteral feedings along with oral, injectable, and intravenous medications and treatments within the LVN scope of practice as prescribed by the physician and per facility policy · Ensures all aspects of delivery of care to residents by nursing assistants are completed within the established time frames according to Resident Care policies and procedures · Performs and is co-responsible for narcotic counts as per Resident Care policies and procedures · Ensures dispensing of medications and treatments by all routes as ordered by the physician within established time frames. LVN'S needed at a residential facility POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Program Director, the Nurse is responsible for medical care and supervision of adolescent clients in a residential facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Adheres to the laws and rules outlined in The Nurse Practice Act under The Texas State Board of Nursing; while providing medical care to clients. Implements accurate Assessments and arranges referrals for adolescent clients needing outsourced medical resources. Provides utilization review of required documentation in accordance with the expectations, as per professional code and state licensing standards. Administers staff TB testing in compliance with Policy and Procedure as needed. Provide training on BLS/ CPR, AED, first aid, Narcan, and other required topics to non-medical staff. Administrative Nurse designee during disasters and emergencies, and coordinates emergency and disaster drills for the hospital. Reports to the site of the incident to provide direction and support to nursing staff. Incident Commander during disasters and emergencies occurring after hours following hospital emergency management procedures. Member of the Nursing Clinical Operations Team and other appointed hospital committees and workgroups by actively participating with a focus on problem solving and performance improvement. Active in the planning, development, and implementation of performance improvement plans and initiatives.
