Director of Nursing (DON) Central Ohio | Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and help ensure the highest standards of resident care, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who can build and support a high-performing nursing team while creating a positive, resident-centered culture. What You’ll Do Provide overall leadership and direction for the nursing department. Oversee the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centered resident care. Hire, train, coach, develop, and retain nursing team members. Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, and resident satisfaction. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards. Oversee infection prevention and control practices and clinical protocols. Collaborate with physicians, therapy, social services, dietary, and other departments to support comprehensive resident care. Participate in care planning, assessments, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives. Review and respond appropriately to changes in resident condition, incidents, and clinical concerns. Provide guidance and support to nurses, STNAs, and other clinical team members. Promote effective communication with residents, families, staff, and leadership. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and support scheduling needs. Serve as a clinical leader and role model for the entire nursing team. What We’re Looking For Current RN license in the State of Ohio. Previous nursing leadership experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. Strong knowledge of clinical standards, regulations, and survey readiness. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Ability to coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Responsibilities As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and working alongside nurses, you will direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant to ensure the plan of care for the patient population. Possesses a specialized knowledge base and skills to facilitate patient treatment and staff development. Provides and oversees patient care. Implementing hospital and department philosophy and objectives. Provides leadership during times of crisis to assure continuity of care and a productive work environment. Three to five years experience including supervisory experience required. BSN or enrollment in BSN program required. Certified BLS before hire date required Certified ACLS or completion in first 6 months of employment required Preferred Experience CRRN required after meeting eligibility requirements.
