Unit Description Surgical Telemetry is a 30-bed monitored unit caring for a diverse adult patient population. Patients on Surgical Telemetry have health issues requiring surgical interventions, but there is also a subset of medical diagnoses. Diagnoses include, but are not limited to, the treatment for traumatic injuries, cancers in need of surgical intervention, GI bleeds requiring surgical intervention, general and minimally invasive surgical procedures, as well as surgical management for bowel obstructions. We also care for a subset of medical diagnoses including sepsis, cardiac arrhythmias, GI bleeds, renal failure and diabetic emergencies.
