Overview Under the direction of the Assistant Head Nurse, Nurse Manager and the Director of Nursing, the emergency department (ED) nurses utilize evidenced- based knowledge and the nursing process to provide patient-centered care to individuals with life threatening illnesses/trauma. Responsibilities Emergency Department Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
