The hospital clinical and medical leadership collaborate with the unit treatment teams to provide the most contemporary and comprehensive care possible. Salary Statement : The salary for this position traditionally starts at $45,422.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience. A Day in the Life: Program Administration Support Prioritize and organize the daily care of individuals to ensure consistent and effective service delivery. Make care assignments and assist in creating treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical staff to meet individual needs. Provide direct observation of individuals with specific monitoring situations (e.g., line-of-vision or one-on-one precautions) to ensure safety and therapeutic engagement. Direct support staff to coordinate workflow and communicate problems to unit supervisors to maintain smooth operations. Complete required documentation of nursing notes, transfer forms, and other records to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Provide orientation and support to staff on the unit to maintain continuity and quality of care. Program Management Support Provide ongoing assessment and documentation of individuals' physical and psychosocial status from admission to discharge to inform care decisions. Administer medications and treatments according to state-operated health care facility policies and procedures to support recovery and wellness. Develop and implement nursing care plans for acute medical problems to address evolving needs. Complete medication administration supervision monitors and clinical observation notes for support staff to ensure compliance and quality Educate individuals and family members regarding medication, procedures, and treatment goals and objectives to promote understanding and engagement. Respond and intervene in emergency situations and with agitated individuals to maintain safety and therapeutic environment. Ensure proper safety and infection control standards are met for the unit to protect staff and individuals. Responsibilities Works closely with all personnel to facilitate the performance of laboratory tests as ordered by the physician Maintains a pleasant and friendly attitude with patients and tries to answer their questions to the best of their ability Interacts with nursing personnel in the completion of laboratory requisitions and the charting Assists patients and physicians in acquiring correct information about preparation for testing Schedules patients for testing Qualifications Ability to read well enough to follow instructions, write legibly, have good communication skills and a moderate degree of manual dexterity Must be a registered CPT Phlebotomist or equivalent BLS certification required The above statements are intended to describe the functions and related requirements of persons assigned to this job.
