Overview The Observation Unit is specialized and designed for efficient, ongoing medical treatment, assessment, and reassessment of patients before the appropriate decision can be made to either discharge or admit. You will care for a wide variety of patients with chest pain, A-fib, cellulitis, syncope, asthma, and congestive heart failure, trauma, musculoskeletal pain, stroke and TIA, among other diagnosis. This is a fast paced service. Patients have a short length of stay and the unit admits and discharges patients 24/7. Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Nurse position is to improve patient care and systems practice on the Trauma service. The Trauma APN provides clinical patient care to Trauma patients in collaboration with Trauma Physicians, the Trauma Team and with all other health care disciplines. Overview About the Role The Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) works with cancer patients and their families to remove barriers to care, provide emotional support and resolve issues related to the cycle of cancer care. Overview About the Role The Clinic Nurse Manager is an experienced clinical leader responsible for managing assigned areas and multiple services within the assigned practice, supervising assigned patient care personnel during clinic operations. The Clinic Nurse Manager is responsible to ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient care and clinical outcomes, compliance with regulatory, administrative, and clinical standards, policies, and procedures. The Clinic Nurse Manager is seen as an expert in clinical practice topics and is proficient in personnel management and directs care to meet the unit demands in an efficient and cost-effective manner, as well as assisting with clinic budget management. This position reports to the Administrative Director of the practice and the Executive Director Clinical Operations. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Maintains nursing and clinical operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures within the assigned practice in the Ambulatory Care Center. “Owns” clinic operations and exercises broad oversight for clinic patient throughput, provider performance, and clinical and/or support services. Maintains accountability for daily staffing patterns and appropriate skill mix to support the practice’s volume and acuity. A minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required. BLS (CPR) is required. Certification as an Ambulatory Nurse (RN-BC) is desirable and preferred within two (2) years of hire.
