General Summary The Surgical Technologist is a professional caregiver who works with Anesthesia, surgeons, and other surgical personnel in patient care before, during and after surgery. The Surgical Technologist uses sterile technique and technical equipment to perform surgical procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists with surgical procedures (C-sections) in Labor & Delivery operating room. Anticipates surgical team needs, and demonstrates dexterity. Uses, cleans and cares for surgical instruments and equipment, setting up tables for deliveries or surgical procedures in a sterile manner, stocking rooms after use, ordering proper replacement supplies.
