Position Summary Our 36 bed General Medicine Unit cares for patients with a variety of diagnosis. Nicknamed the "detective" unit, as any undiagnosed medical conditions come to this unit with the medical team working together to help solve the mystery and treat the patient with the most appropriate care. Nurse to patient ratios for the General Medicine Unit are generally 5:1 for day and night shift. Telemetry patients are common along with a large population of renal and isolation patients. In this unit, you will experience a high level of teamwork while providing excellent care to a diverse population. Intensive Care Unit (ICU): Our Gold Beacon honored neuro-ortho ICU has a total of 24 beds, and we see it all here – from stroke to surgical to trauma. As a primary stroke unit, we offer a broad range of specialty services, including but not limited to, invasive intercranial pressure monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy, advanced ventilation therapies, and trauma management. Our team is focused on creating an optimal work environment while delivering excellent care through best practices and expert patient care. Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU): As a Silver Beacon Award recipient, our CVICU includes 24 beds and has a concentration for coronary care including: coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, heart failure, balloon pumps, ventricular assist devices and cardiac arrest. This unit represents an exemplary team of nurses who work closely together in a positive and supportive work environment while providing excellent care for our patients who are suffering from life-threatening conditions. Our Critical Care Opportunities Include: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU): This critical care unit is comprised of 16 beds, operating 24 hours per day. With every private room, equipped with cameras to assist our nursing with direct patient visualization, we see a variety of patients suffering from serious conditions including sepsis, renal failure and liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, blood disorders, cancer, respiratory distress, withdrawal, cardiac and post-operative care. In this unit, you will experience a high level of teamwork while providing excellent care to a diverse population. Intensive Care Unit (ICU): Our Gold Beacon honored neuro-ortho ICU has a total of 24 beds, and we see it all here – from stroke to surgical to trauma. As a primary stroke unit, we offer a broad range of specialty services, including but not limited to, invasive intercranial pressure monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy, advanced ventilation therapies, and trauma management. Our team is focused on creating an optimal work environment while delivering excellent care through best practices and expert patient care. Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU): As a Silver Beacon Award recipient, our CVICU includes 24 beds and has a concentration for coronary care including: coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, heart failure, balloon pumps, ventricular assist devices and cardiac arrest. This unit represents an exemplary team of nurses who work closely together in a positive and supportive work environment while providing excellent care for our patients who are suffering from life-threatening conditions. What You'll Do Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop an individual’s plan for patients Respond to life-saving situations as a member of the rapid response and code team Utilize your advanced nursing skills to care for patients who are critically ill and are at a high risk for life-threatening medical conditions Demonstrate organizational skills in the delivery of nursing care to patients with flexibility and a willingness to adjust priorities in response to changes in patient acuity, volume, emergencies, staffing or scheduling Become part of an impressive and well recognized critical care team who delivers excellent patient care Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred Experience Previous acute care experience required Basic arrhythmia proficiency required Previous critical care experience preferred New Graduate RN's within 6 months of obtaining licensure may be considered without prior experience requirements Licensure/Certifications RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required upon start is required for all Critical Care Units Preferred Certifications CCRN-A: Critical Care Registered Nurse – Adult (for ICU and CCU) CNRN: Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (for ICU and IMCU) PCCN: Progressive Care Certified Nurse (for IMCU) SCRN: Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (for ICU and IMCU) TCRN: Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (for ICU and IMCU) WCC: Wound Care Certified (for ICU, IMCU, and CCU) Total Rewards We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your well-being and professional growth, including: Competitive Pay: Hourly and salaried positions earn market-based compensation. Caregiver Job Duties Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to): Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.) Cooking and/or serving meals Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments Monitoring and reporting on their condition Additional Information Our hiring process is fast and simple! Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients! Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it. Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings! Requirements 18 years+ Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
