Intraoperatively, the RNFA functions interdependently with the surgeon and applies knowledge, skill, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation that yields optimal results for the patient. The RNFA will provide patient care for all ages and/or provide leadership and direction to the perioperative team during the Perioperative phase as needed. Role and Responsibilities The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating nursing care throughout the hospital for a defined shift. The Supervisor works in conjunction with the Department Directors and Chief Nurse Executive to ensure continuous delivery of quality patient care throughout the building.
