Develops and maintains sound relationships with the community, labor and professional groups in developing nursing programs and policies. May serve as a consultant for the System for the overall nursing practice, service and education programs; conducts related studies and directs projects, provides leadership in Central Office in the development, coordination and evaluation of System’s central and health care setting nursing services, practice and education programs. Attends community conferences and committee meetings with administrative, Medical Board and department heads. Conducts and chairs staff meetings and working committees with all levels of nursing personnel. Minimum Qualifications Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State; and, A Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or an equivalent field, and a minimum of four years of high-level responsible experience in nursing administration, three years of which shall have been in a hospital; or, A satisfactory equivalent.
