Helps pull case carts for the following day and returns all sterile equipment to its appropriate location. Environmental: Maintains a clean safe prepared work environment. Prepares sterile equipment and surgical table for procedure. When scrubbing in a case appropriate hand washing and sterilization techniques are followed. Assists with the cleaning and sterilization of all procedure equipment. Assists with the cleaning and sterilization of Operating Room for case turnover. Development: Maintains current knowledge certification and licensure. Identifies learning needs in self and initiates actions to address these education needs. Attends continuing education programs in order to maintain certification. Attends hospital sponsored training programs as required by the department Completes all mandatory requirements certifications and licensure within allotted timeframe for completion (CPR License PPD Competencies Age Specifics etc.) Organizational knowledge: Works effectively within and between departments. Participates on inter-departmental teams and committees communicating unit knowledge as appropriate.
