The Medical Assistant performs clinical support procedures including, but are not limited to: assisting physician or physician's assistant, blood draws, injections, lab tests, rooming patients, taking vital signs, and utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system including reviewing and preparing patient's appointment encounter and completion of referral forms. This is a per diem position at Monadnock Behavioral Health Services Apply today to become part of our skilled team! Responsibilities: Assist patients getting to and from exam rooms, preparing for exam, and during procedures. Assist physician and physician’s assistant in examinations, which may include taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. Assist with maintaining accurate medical records and document patient information in accordance with established procedures, including completion of referral forms, lab slips, and other pertinent documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. Perform basic medical procedures such as blood draws and collecting laboratory specimens, and conducting basic diagnostic tests. Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, well-stocked, and properly equipped to provide a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies and procedures. Prepare patient’s appointment encounter Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Provide exceptional care to patients of all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities, and socioeconomic statuses, ensuring a compassionate and inclusive healthcare environment. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Maintenance of confidential information. Working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment. Responsibilities Responsible for the comprehensive assessment of resident and family needs in order to determine the nursing services required. Understands and integrates the needs of adult and geriatric residents in the delivery of nursing care. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence, managing resident care, improving quality of care, establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills, fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the facility, and developing clinical expertise per specialty. Responsible for managing and providing direct care for assigned residents. Responsible for the management of resident activities, while monitoring the quality of care during assigned shift. Serves as a liaison to keep the Program Manager and/or Nursing Supervisor aware of major occurrences and needs of the program. Required Skills: Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required. Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required. Document shift assessments, medication passes, and clinical notes in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
