The Licensed Practical Nurse, under the supervision of the RN, utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to the hospital policies, procedures and protocols. The LPN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis. Demonstrates the appropriate skills and ability, based on scope of practice, level of training and/or licensure, to assess, treat, and/or care for patients. Care is provided through utilization of the nursing process, by leadership to provide direction of other non-licensed nursing service personnel and by working collaboratively with other members of the health care team.
