Job Description The Resident Care Manager directs, coordinates, and supervises care services provided by care associates for the senior residents. Responsible for ensuring exemplary service is delivered with integrity, dignity, and compassion. May be responsible for medication control and coordination with physicians to ensure care and medications are delivered as directed. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. Availability: Wednesday through Saturday Location: Balfour Central Park Salary: $78,000 to $83,000 annually **LPN Certification is required** **Supervisor experience is preferred** What will I do everyday? Responsible for monitoring and evaluating assigned residents and regularly assess levels of care,whenever there is a change in condition and/or to determine whether a resident is no longerappropriate for the setting, notifying Assistant Living Director as required Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find appropriate associate to assist Responsible for effectively supervising departmental operations as directed on a day-to-day basisunder the guidance of the department director or Executive Director Responds in a tactful and timely manner to all residents, family members and/or staff May be responsible for supervising resident medication programs May be asked to monitor all physician orders and ensures they have been followed timely andaccurately Responsible for assisting with scheduling for Care associates Performs other related duties as required What will I need to be successful in this role? Previous supervisory experience preferred High school graduate required; college course work preferred Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is preferred One to three years’ experience working in senior care Special Certifications/Requirements I may need? How you make a difference The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies. Key Responsibilities Under RN supervision, assesses patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in both the Health Care Unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning and consulting with RNs and staff as needed. Implements treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administering medications, including IV therapy (if certified), and performing diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures. Collaborates in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions while responding to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines. Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures, implements nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and documents nursing encounters using SOAP charting, ensuring effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel. Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures in providing high-quality patient care. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
