Provide medical care according to established protocols and standards of care. Provide recommended age appropriate preventative care services that include history taking, examinations, counseling, screenings, testing and other preventative services. Obtain appropriate histories, clinical examinations, diagnostic tests, and make appropriate referrals for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic disorders. Review laboratory test results, radiology reports and consultation reports in a timely manner and provide patient with information and treatment recommendations based on these reports. Requirements Master’s degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of the practice. Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid. Preferred Experience A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in outpatient care. Schedule: Monday – Friday 37 hours per week. Partcipation in outpatient remote weekend coverage schedule (typically once every 6 to 8 weeks). Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited MSN program. Licensure: Current valid New Jersey APN and RN licensure required. Experience: Board certified in psychiatry preferred. Will consider previous experience as a APN board certified in addiction and/or trauma. Previous experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse in a medical and/or mental health setting strongly preferred.
