The goals include providing the highest quality patient and family centered care, facilitating communication among multidisciplinary care providers, increasing educational opportunities for house staff and medical students, and innovating care of the newborn in the Children's and Women' Hospital Responsibilities* Under physician supervision, coordinates care of acutely ill and convalescing neonates in the intensive care and acute care unit settings. The APP will perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tasks associated with neonates admitted to the NICU. Direct, coordinate and participate in neonatal transports (ground and air) to and from UMHS as assigned Initiate medical treatment, in collaboration with supervising physician, to stabilize the neonate prior to and during transport and lead a team to retrieve neonates from other institutions as assigned. The APP will complete detailed histories and physicals and present pertinent data to the medical staff. Perform other related duties as requested by the attending physician, and/or NICU medical director. Utilize new improvements and/or technologies that relate to job assignment. Palliative care Prenatal consult services for mothers who are taking high risk medications. Consult services to other newborn care providers in the birthing center, including Family Practice Physicians, Private Pediatricians, and Well Newborn Rounding Physicians. Note: This is a day/night position. This position includes weekend and holidays shifts as required by the service. Overview The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health (OBGYN & WH) is seeking a dynamic Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist with solid clinical and academic experience to join the faculty of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Medical Staff of Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, New York. They will join the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division within one of the largest OBGYN & WH departments and residency programs in the country. Experience and expertise in fetal medicine/ultrasound from an AIUM certified facility is preferred along with a strong aptitude for, and commitment to, high risk, complex cases The Maternal Fetal Medicine division provides care to patients throughout the Bronx and southern Westchester counties. There are currently 9 attendings, 8 Fellows and 1 PA dedicated to inpatient service. In collaboration with the Generalist division, the Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists co-manage the Labor & Delivery service across two hospitals with levels 3 and 4 NICU, averaging 5,100 total deliveries per year. THE DEPARTMENT: The Department is committed to scientific discovery and to education, with one of the largest residency programs (46 trainees) and fellowships in every discipline, five of which are ACGME accredited (MFM, GYNONC, REI, FPMRS and Complex Family Planning). Location BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital Title Lactation Consultant- BMH PRN Under the supervision of the Breastfeeding Center and Milk Bank System Manager of Nursing, the Lactation Consultant will provide education and support the breastfeeding family so that breastfeeding will be successful. The Lactation Consultant will adhere to our Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative with implementation of the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes. The Lactation Consultant functions independently and collaboratively with members of the perinatal health care team to provide assistance, teaching and support to breastfeeding families. The Lactation Consultant will be able to assess medical conditions of nursing mothers and refer to medical providers if necessary for breastfeeding related issues. The Lactation Consultant will evaluate outcomes of newborns and verify growth parameters/development milestones while newborn is breastfeeding. The Lactation Consultant will also provide follow-up to breastfeeding patients during post-hospital care with phone calls and outpatient consults. Job Overview The Director of Patient Care Services for Maternal Fetal & Neonatal Services provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for highly specialized maternal, fetal, neonatal, and perinatal care programs. This role has oversight of the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), Labor and Delivery, and Maternal/Fetal Care services within the Colorado Fetal Care Center, ensuring seamless, high-quality care delivery across the full continuum—from prenatal diagnosis through delivery and neonatal care. The Director of Patient Care Services is also a key leader in managing complex or sensitive patient and family situations and in representing the organization through participation in regional and national professional forums. This role reports to the VP of Critical Services and plays a critical role in advancing coordinated, family-centered care for mothers and neonates facing routine to highly complex conditions. Duties & Responsibilities Collaborates with senior leadership to identify and develop organizational objectives.
