Overview Provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process; performs technical nursing functions; and upholds the standard of practice of a professional nurse in caring for patients. The Registered Nurse is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and functions as charge nurse when assigned. The Registered Nurse directs, delegates and coordinates all nursing care provided throughout the hospital. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.
