Dialysis Unit: One Patient Training room Water treatment room is double the size as it used to be, with state of the art Reverse Osmosis System to provide Ultra Pure water for patient treatments 6 patient treatment stations (4 chairs in an open bay area and 2 private rooms) Outpatient Hemodialysis on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, sometimes Saturdays Patient treatments average 3 to 4 hours each First shift starts at 0600 Treatment days end around 1700 On Tuesdays, nurses work in the Peritoneal Dialysis Clinic, where patients who perform their dialysis at home, come to see a multidisciplinary team. On Thursdays, nurses work to care plan HD patients and work on assigned projects and duties. All other days are covered by nursing to perform dialysis services as needed What you will do: Performs as a partner in the Dialysis Unit care management team. Being an OR Nurse is one of the most rewarding careers! It’s a high-energy discipline that requires both a strong understanding of interpersonal skills and technical skills. The central characteristic of perioperative care is teamwork. The surgical team must work together seamlessly to ensure patient safety and the success of the surgery. Responsibilities include being a partner in the care management team, providing coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care and delegating patient activities as appropriate within a care management assignment. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience). A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin. Candidates must show proof of license on or before first day of employment. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Hours: Two (2) 10 hour shifts per week. Must be flexible based on department needs. After 6 month orientation hours could be: 7am-5pm or 9am-7pm based on department needs.
