The staff nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduation from an acredited nursing program. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous clinical nursing experience. Previous CV/Post-Op open heart experience preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse, or Graduate Nurse, Board Eligible. American Heart Association BLS required. Completion of Advance Cardiac Life Support within six months of hire. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Interpersonal and critical thinking skills required. Excellent communication and team work skills. Basic clinical, computer & typing skills.
