The team works within the Women & Children service areas of Northeast Georgia Healthcare System and will report to our Gainesville, Braselton, and/or Demorest (Habersham) locations. Each “pod” is specialized according to patient population and requires 2 years of RN experience specific to specialty of the pod. Labor & Delivery Department’s Overview The Gainesville Labor and Delivery Unit, consisting of 18 labor/delivery/recovery beds, 8 triage beds, 4 operating rooms and 6 PACU bays. The Braselton Labor and Delivery Unit, consisting of 10 labor/delivery/recovery, 2 triage beds, 2 operating rooms and 2 PACU bays. The Habersham LDRP (Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum) unit consists of 9 labor/delivery/recovery/post-partum beds, 1 triage bed, and a 2 bed well baby nurserys. Responsibilities The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
