Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to be accountable for the care activities, safety and goal achievements of assigned patients through assessing, diagnosing, planning and intervening in actual or potential health problems and evaluating patient’s response to the care. These responsibilities also include patient education and discharge planning. The Registered Professional Nurse places emphasis on mobilizing patients and preventing skin breakdown, falls and implements the appropriate measures to achieve this. The Registered Professional Nurse is a member of a designated care team and collaborates, coordinates and guides team members in planning patient care in a safe environment and achieving patient care goals according to the patient/family developmental stage and cultural expectations. Qualifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. PALS and BLS required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in basic life support (BLS). Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to skillfully administer total patient care in accordance with Emergency Nursing Standards of Practice, provides leadership and clinical expertise in the assessing, planning and delivery of emergency care. Provides specialized primary nursing care for acutely ill and injured trauma cases in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures. Qualifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Critical Care or Medical/Surgical experience preferred. BLS required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in basic life support (BLS). ACLS and PALS required within twelve (12) months of employment and must maintained throughout employment. Phlebotomy Certification or IV Certification is required. Proficiency in the English language is required. BSN preferred. Successful completion of a Progressive Care Course or Progressive Care Certification preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word.
