She/he is responsible for the administrative operation of the Department of Nursing on tour. The Administrative Supervisor acts as a representative of Hospital Administration on the assigned tour. Identifies and resolves problems and communicates major or unresolved issues/problems to the appropriate Administrator and/or Nursing service personnel. Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and departmental goals and objectives. Serves as a resource person to all nursing personnel and to other hospital staff for discussion orassistance in problem solving and intervention with staff, patients, families or physicians as needed.Participates in the evaluation of the performance of nursing staff on assigned shift. Conducts regular unit rounds to assess the quality of nursing care and practice. Initiates counseling and/or disciplinary actions in situations requiring immediate intervention. Assesses and adjusts assigned staff on the basis of census and acuity to provide adequate staffing. Qualifications Registered Professional Nurse currently licensed in New York State. Baccalaureate degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education required; Masters degree preferred. Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner with a minimum of 3 years clinical/supervisory experience. Must have 3 years of critical care experience, ACLS, BLS required. Strong leadership ability along with outstanding communication and organizational skills. ACLS, BLS required.

Job Description Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more. Principal Accountabilities Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members. Records patient vital signs and medical information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification.
