Overview: In the Acute Care Cardiology/Surgical Unit we treat patients of all ages. We specialize in treating surgical and medical patient with a wide variety of diagnosis. We are currently looking to expand our Heart Center patient population to provide medical cardiac management for children and adolescents with heart and vascular disease. 6 bed unit housed on an already existing surgical unit Nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 We take care of all ages, however, on most days, approximately 75% of our population is under the age of six months.
