Description Of Position Registered nurses (RN) provide professional nursing care while working in collaboration with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members. Description Of Position The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing provider support as applicable, and comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families under the direction of the provider. This position supports the Practice Director and Manager in coordinating and leading practice personnel to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient care services. The position will perform duties within the scope of practice, ensuring consistency with Memorial Medical Group policies and procedures, standards of care, approved protocols, standing orders and guidelines. The position will also adhere to practice standards governed by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. SUPERVISION : Reports directly to Office Manager Responsibilities And Duties Demonstrates competency in administering medication. Follows evidence-based policies and procedures to guide nursing practice. Understands and appropriately responds to the unique combination of cultural variables that professionals and patients/individuals bring to interactions. Evaluates ethical challenges and their potential impact on the patient’s quality of care and the nurse’s professional role. Performs computer order entry in the Clinic Information System and documents in EMR.
