This Per Diem RN position is located in Acute Rehab at the Towanda Campus of Robert Packer Hospital. Department Description: Acute Rehab Unit is a 15-bed unit single patient rooms. The nursing ratio is1:5-6 sometimes up to 7. We specialize in providing 3 hours of therapy to a wide range of diagnosis with Stroke, Amputations, and multiple traumas being our biggest patient population from the ages of 18 and up. The average length of stay on the unit is 10-14 days. Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‐ based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Essential functions and specific skills for the job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in standards that are applicable to the specialty.
