Job Summary and Qualifications The Respiratory Care Assistant is a full-time student in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, preferably within the second year. Under the supervision of respiratory therapists, the assistant performs basic tasks learned in class and practices them in the school laboratory. These tasks have also been practiced with demonstrated competency during clinical rotations at area hospitals. The assistant follows TMCA Departmental Policies and Procedures and performs tasks only after successfully passing theoretical tests and practical competencies administered by TMCA Respiratory Therapy Department leadership. As the assistant progresses in knowledge and experience and demonstrates competency in additional skills and proficiencies , the job scope will increase accordingly . Position Requirements: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required High school graduate or equivalent is required . Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Nurse Float Pool (RN) position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical care to meet the needs of the whole person. What you will do in this role: The Acute Care RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the general medical/surgical populations utilizing the nursing process. Special populations include vascular, wound care, GI, ophthalmology and bariatric surgeries. Oversees and directs the care of LPN’s and assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. What qualifications you will need: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current BLS with American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. Current ACLS with American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. BSN desirable. Two or more years of acute RN experience required. No travel required, this position is a facility float.
